Samuel is a Project Manager in the University Secretary’s Office at the University of Sheffield, UK. He leads on a number of HEFCE funded strategic projects and partnerships. Samuel is due to submit his PhD on Higher Education in early 2018, which focuses on the recognition of underrepresented groups in HE, such as students who care for children while studying. Samuel’s work has focused on issues of equity and diversity in Higher Education, and in 2016 was named the Forum on Access and Continuing Educations (FACE) Emerging Researcher. He is one of the Newer Researcher advocates for the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE). Samuel also holds a BA(Hons) in Politics, and a Masters of Arts Research (MAR) in Governance and Politics both from the University of Leeds.
