Dr. Gloria Emeagwali is Professor of History and African Studies, and
recipient of the 2014 Distinguished Research Excellence Award in African Studies,
from the University of Texas at Austin. She has taught at numerous universities including
Ahmadu Bello University and the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and, for the last two decades,
at Central Connecticut State University. She has published widely and was winner of
a UNESCO award for her site http://www.africahistory.net.
